Our Story: Women Deserve More
At Women Founders Grant we are catalyzing a no BS movement for women to truly attain Financial Agency.
Natasha was at a venture studio that was the seeding ground for multiple successful startups. She was a co-founder of the studio’s first fintech where she witnessed first hand the overt favoritism that promoted the interests and careers of primarily men - aka Tech Bros - to the detriment of women.
Recognizing the need for change, she understood that without consistent and transparent funding for women, this pattern would persist, continuing to perpetuate inequality and lack of financial agency.
Women don’t need hand outs;
we need financial agency and equal access to capital and opportunity so we can soar.
How could 49.7% of the world’s population is less deserving?
We think not so let’s put our money where our birthright is.
Meet the Team
Natasha Yeoh
Co-Founder
Co-Founder, Head of __, FinTech, Wealth, Banking, Financial Services, Strategy, Biz Dev, COO, Product, Operator = these all describe the years of my career and experience. I started in the rough and tumble of a Wall street trading floor, and worked my way up through global financial services to senior leadership. Then a bright shiny object, called fintech, caught my attention, and I jumped in head first. As a Co-Founder and early employee I had two successes - and many more failures. In summary, I have straddled both corporate America and entrepreneurship building product, platform and services, running PnL, leading large teams (100+) of people all the while prioritizing culture. I also have an MBA from NYU amongst other qualifications (AICD, Finra).
The more important part of me is my calling - I am an advocate of women. Being a single Mom solely (& “souly”) raising four school aged children on my own, and building my career during a time when society was being challenged about the role of women, I have seen more bad and ugly than good. What is more troubling, so much of the challenges women have faced to gain financial agency have not made meaningful progress or continue to repeat themselves.
That said, I am out of the peanut galley and in the fray.
